Hey all.
I know it's been a long long time since I was around, and frankly, not sure how many people noticed. Seems like this community and fantasy booking as a whole has gone downhill as of late.
As for myself, I got busy last year preparing to make the (successful) leap from working for a newspaper to self-employment. Got very very busy as a result and simply didn't have time to book.
Now, I'm getting that itch again but find myself in a bit of a tough spot.
There's the CWF, my pride and joy, which was conjured way back in my dorm room in college -- yes, when I started this series it ACTUALLY WAS 1999. I've got a ton of ideas for the future of this series, but, at this point, it's 13 years out of date and I am wondering if there is even a place for it and if it's even worth continuing.
There's the retro series with Den, which never really got off the ground. I feel bad about this. Especially since I dig the old-school stuff now more than ever. Plus, it'd be intriguing to see us go head to head.
Then, there's all the stuff I have discovered as a fan since starting CWF. ROH, CHIKARA, random Southern indies, the list goes on. I toy with the idea of starting a new project.
I've long been a believer that there's no point in booking unless there's an audience to read it. And so, I put it to you, the audience (if you're still out there). What do YOU think I should do in the hobby going forward?
Thanks for reading. TN

CWF, man. It's been your pride and joy in this community since you stopped working on 3WA.

It's hard for me to say because I actually like both projects. Although I haven't visited the site for a long time now (shame on me!), I've always been a big fan of your CWF so I'd like for that to continue. But I'm also very interested to see a retro series with Den in the 80s. This might actually be the kick in the butt I need for me to actually do something with my Jim Crockett Promotions project I was thinking about doing for God knows how long.
Either way you go, I'll be there to read, for sure!

I won't cast an official vote on this, since this is meant for the peeps to decide. But as great as all of these ideas have the potential to be, CWF deserves your creative energies more than the alternatives do. Just my feeling.

Well I think I've made my decision. Even if it's for an audience of five people, as long as people keep reading, I'll keep writing.

I also placed a vote in for the CWF, for what it's worth.

That was my first post in about four years, by the way.

HONESTLY ? CWF is GREAT, But I think the reason you may get burned out so often is that you have been writing about the same characters for what, 13 years now ?!? I voted something new.
