Episode 2 of 8
The Jims (Ross and Cornette) welcome us to another exciting edition of PLW and run down the card. Cornette is excited to see Razor Ramon’s debut, while Ross is looking forward to seeing what kind of impact Crush will make in his first appearance. They both agree, however, that today’s 8-man tag team main event will be a barn-burner. Cornette brings up the Disasters’ comments about the Nasty Boys last week, and wonders what Knobbs and Sags will have in store. Good ol’ JR cannot wait to see one of the hottest international stars in all of wrestling, Scott Norton. Earlier in the day, Ross spoke with both teams.
In the locker room, JR is attempting to speak to the Nasty Boys, but they’re more concerned with flipping tables over and tearing posters off the wall. Shawn Michaels pulls himself away from the mirror, and he says it’s no surprise that he’s been booked for the 2nd week in a row. The suits in the big tower know who the people want to see in the main event. And it’s him, not has-beens like Mr Perfect and Bob Backlund. HBK should have been in the first ever PLW main event, not those two, and today we will see why. Ross moves on and says he’s excited to introduce us to a new face here in PLW, a man who’s won over 30 arm-wrestling championships, a former bodyguard for Prince, and one of the hottest free agents in professional wrestling today, Scott Norton! Norton re-affirms what JR said, and he says a lot of people are excited to see him wrestle. But there are 4 people who should be scared, not excited: his opponents, High Energy and the Natural Disasters… Upon hearing the Disasters mentioned, the Nasty Boys get real quiet and take JR’s microphone from him, shoving him away. Saggs says the Nasties understand what the Natural Disasters were trying to do. It’s like when you’re in a new school; you call out the biggest and baddest bullies to show people how tough you are. The Nasty Boys can respect that. Knobbs agrees but asks the Disasters what they’re gonna do, when the bell rings, and it’s time to fight those bullies, and those bullies brought a baseball bat. Or brass knux… Saggs says maybe they’ll just take this camera and whack them over the head with it. (At this point the Nasties take the camera and we lose picture.)
Crush def a jobber in 4 minutes. (Crush’s opponent tries to attack the big man from Hawaii with a pair of drop kicks after losing the initial lock-up. Crush brushes them off and nails the jobber with a power slam. He hits a few more power moves, including a stalled suplex and a gorilla press slam, before catching the youngster in his trademark Head Vice.)
Earlier in the day, JR interviews the Disasters and High Energy about the main event tonight. Koko says that he and Owen may have started off slow as a tag-team but they are ready to bring some high energy to PLW. JR asks Owen if he is looking to avenge last week’s loss to Shawn Michaels. Owen says it’s a new day, a new match. He and Koko give it a 110% every time, regardless of who is across the ring from them. And today they’re gonna fly in the sky, while their partners shake the ground beneath them. Typhoon says the Nasty Boys had it right. PLW is a new school, and they were calling out the bullies for a fight, but they got one thing wrong. Earthquake says they couldn’t call out the biggest team for a fight, because THEY are the biggest and baddest team in all of wrestling.
Razor Ramon def a jobber in 8 minutes. (Ramon dominates from the opening bell with punches and kicks. He locks in the abdominal stretch, but the ref forces him to break it when he gets caught using the ropes. When Razor goes for a back body drop, the jobber takes advantage with a kick to the chest. The jobber hits a couple of big right hands, but Razor catches him on the flying-cross body attempt. He nails the fall-away slam, and goes right for the Razor’s Edge. Old school promo in a box in the corner of the screen during his match... Razor says no matter where he goes, people are afraid of him. He laughs at the Big Bossman’s promise to bring law and order to PLW. He says he will always take whatever he wants, and do whatever he wants. And no one can stop him, not even Chief Wiggum.)
We get another exciting video about the Lightning Kid, focusing on his martial arts training. "Lightning will strike next week!"
After the break, Jim Cornette is in the ring. He says this interview was so big, he didn’t trust Jim Ross to handle it. He introduces the president of PLW, Gorilla Monsoon. They discuss the success of last week, with 2 great matches. Cornette gets in a good line about “three of the most exciting wrestlers in the business… and Bob Backlund.” Monsoon defends Bob’s performance and reminds Jim that Backlund was the WWF champion for 6 years, a remarkable feat at any age, in any era. That brings us to the topic of the PLW world championship. Monsoon announces a huge battle royal on PLW next week, with two winners instead of one. Those two who survive will meet one on one at PLW’s first big event in several weeks to determine the first ever Professional League of Wrestling world heavyweight champion!
-Main Event- Shawn Michaels, Scott Norton, and the Nasty Boys def High Energy and the Natural Disasters via count-out in 18 minutes. (Michaels and Owen start, picking up where they left off last week. When Shawn winds up in the wrong corner, he takes 3 right hands from each of Owen’s partners. Shawn doesn’t like that at all and tags in Scott Norton. Owen gives it a go, and Koko makes the blind tag during a criss-cross. While Norton has Owen in his arms, Koko cross bodies him, causing both members of High Energy to land on Norton. Eventually, Koko starts taking a beating from the other team. At one point, Koko makes a tag, but Saggs spits on Earthquake, drawing him into the ring and distracting the referee. After some more under-handed tactics, an all out donnybrook breaks out. The legal men at the time, Owen and Norton, brawl outside the ring, and in a scary moment, Norton press slams the Rocket throat first on the steel guardrail. Koko runs to Owen’s aid, and Norton rolls into the ring. The ref counts to 10, signaling for the bell and the victory.)
The medics hit ringside to check on Owen. As Earthquake looks on from in the ring, Knobbs nails him in the back of the head with a motorcycle helmet. With Earthquake down, the Nasty Boys go to work on the big man. Shawn and Norton keep Typhoon at bay on the outside. When Koko runs in, he gets taken out by Saggs. When the referees restore order, Typhoon checks on Earthquake. As his back is turned, Knobbs nails him with the helmet. The referees are too scared to intervene, and so the Nasty Boys have free reign to beat down the fallen Disasters. At one point they bring the steel steps into the ring and nail both giants. The carnage finally ends when the Nasty Boys spit on Earthquake and Typhoon and exit the ring.

Please leave feedback of any kind. I tried including more description of the in-ring action at Malachai’s suggestion. (What'd you think Malachai?) If anyone else has any ideas, let me know. I’ve got some plans laid out and I hope you enjoy reading how things play out in the coming weeks.
