Back in the bygone golden days of kayfabe, each month an ad ran in the Apter magazines for the Superstar Pro Wrestling game. It promised real ring action with a series of cards based on some of your favorite wrestlers of the era. When you finally convinced your mom to send in a check and waited the required 4-6 weeks, what you got was a big envelope full of wrestler cards, match charts, instructions, dice and a w/l record. Then you set about creating and running a fed based on what you wanted to see. Any of this sound familiar? Flash forward to the 21st century and a very enterprising dude took out his old rulebook and created a computer simulation program using the old game. He cleverly rearranged the name so as to avoid any potential issues, but the game remains the same. He made it available for free here: pws.berlios.de/This download contains the game itself along with several of the series of cards. Take a look at it and see what you think. More to come...
