Sunday 6th April 2008: WWE WrestleMania: Cruiserweight Division: Triple Threat Match: James Gibson beat Jerry Lynn and Chavo Guerrero…
Jerry Lynn was out first for tonight’s opening contest of the evening and while Lynn made his way out Chavo Guerrero shared his opinion on Jerry Lynn. Chavo said it was a joke that WWE Management put Jerry Lynn in the N0.1 Contenders Match over him and Lynn showed that at WrestleMania when James Gibson beat Lynn and cost him his WrestleMania moment! Guerrero reminded everyone that he pounded Lynn’s head in a couple of weeks back and when given the opportunity he will do it again and in the process he will show Jerry Lynn that he is past it and that he will never be the WWE Cruiserweight Champion…

WWE Reporter Joey Styles was backstage with an update on the condition of Finlay; Styles reported that Finlay suffered a mild concussion but the worry for the doctors is that Finlay is suffering from blurred vision and until the blurred vision is sorted doctors won’t clear Finlay to return the ring so it maybe some time until ‘The Fighting Irishman’ is back in a WWE ring…

“William Regal told everyone that he would get their attention again and after what we have seen him do tonight and at WrestleMania there is no doubt William Regal has gotten everyone’s attention” – JBL.
A still shot was shown on the screen in black and white of John Cena’s face which was covered in blood after his match with The Undertaker at WrestleMania.
Sunday 6th April 2008: WrestleMania: 12 Man Tag Team Match: Team Flair (Ric Flair, MVP, Lance Cade, Trevor Murdoch, Kenny Dykstra and Ted DiBiase) beat Team Foley (Mick Foley, CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Tommy Dreamer, Harry Smith and Colt Cabana)…
“Woooooooooooo…”
Fans were on their feet as ‘The Nature Boy’ 16 times World Champion Ric Flair made his way down the ramp in a short sleeved shirt and trousers wearing a gold Rolex and bracelet. Fans were bowing to Flair in the front row as Flair made his way up the ring steps and into the ring. Flair applauded the fans as he made his way across the ring to get a microphone from Justin Roberts…
Ric Flair thanked everyone the fans for their warm welcome because he knows over the last few weeks he has done a few things that may not have been very popular but he admitted they were all worth while this past Sunday at WrestleMania when his team was victorious in the 12 Man Tag Team Match. Flair thanked his teammates MVP, Kenny Dykstra, Lance Cade, Trevor Murdoch and Ted DiBiase told them they really stepped up to the plate and it was an honor to share a ring with them on the grandest stage of them all. Flair even admitted now he was finished with Mick Foley he would like to test himself against the rising stars of the WWE…
Joey Styles stepped out onto the top of the ramp with a microphone in hand, Styles apologized for interrupting Flair but told him Mick Foley asked him to come out here tonight and show Ric a video message Foley had put together…
Mick Foley sitting in front of a video recorder in one of the rooms in his house confused asking his son Dewey if it was on when Dewey told it was Foley addressed Ric Flair…
“Ok Dewey get out of here I don’t want to look stupid in front of the boys…” “Ric, hopefully if my good friend Joey Styles has done what I asked you should be seeing this video. All I want to say at this point Ric is simply congratulations on your victory at WrestleMania… I hold my hands up Flair and admit defeat. Ric over the last years we have said many things about one another and some of the things are too hurtful to take back and we will never be friends… but Ric I want to take this time and be honest with you tell you over the last few months in our battles at Royal Rumble, Saturday Night’s Main Event and at WrestleMania you have earned my respect and you have shown me why you are a 16 times World Champion and why you are regarded as the greatest off all time. Ok Dewey get in here and help me turn this thing off”…
Ric Flair was laughing to himself as Michael Cole spoke about how that was a classy thing for Mick Foley too do, Flair was ready to speak again…
“1… 2… You hear the clock ticking? Tick-tock you about to stop living tick-tock I want you to remember me tick tock but the day don't have any memory… I’M COMING!!”
MVP made his way out in a nice shiny silver three piece suite ‘bling’ round his neck, Flair applauded MVP as he made his way into the ring. MVP asked for and received a microphone from Justin Roberts, Flair held out his hand to MVP and MVP shook Flair’s hand MVP got up close to Flair placed his left hand on Flair’s shoulder as he started to talk…
MVP: “Your victory!”
Flair: “Ours”…
MVP: “Mine!”
MVP smiled at Flair who looked taken back by MVP’s comment Flair even moved MVP’s hand from his shoulder which made MVP laugh to himself before continuing…
“Ric don’t get me wrong Ric… I am very grateful for you giving me the opportunity to perform on the biggest stage of them all but Ric I don’t owe you nothing! What I remember about the match Naitch is CM Punk kicking you butt, Cody Rhodes even trapped you in your own Figure Four man… and it was me that knocked Mick Foley’s ass out with my ‘Drive By’ Kick, Ric you just about knocked Foley out with a barbwire wrapped steel chair back at Saturday Night’s Main Event.”
Ric Flair was clearly starting to get a little annoyed with MVP but Flair was letting MVP say what he had to say…
“Flair I’m not trying to knock you, I have a lot of respect for you I’m a big fan of yours and training and teaming with you was a dream come true it really was, but Ric you picked me first because you believe I have all the tools to go on and become the WWE World Heavyweight Champion and Ric I don’t want to let you down, make you look stupid so too do that… I need to enhance my reputation… I’ve knocked Mick Foley’s ass out and now I’m going to… Knock your ass out!!
MVP smiled at Flair as the fans were on their feet getting behind Flair but Flair was just listening to what MVP had to say…
“Now Ric seeing how I don’t owe you anything and how you want to test yourself against the future of the WWE I don’t see know reason why we can’t mix it up and I can show the world why I’m better than you ever was!
MVP fixed his jacket while looking Ric Flair straight in the eye and Flair was staring right back at MVP but MVP turned around and left the ring as Ric Flair watched on and as MVP was making his way back up the ramp a little smile broke out on Ric Flair’s face…
“MVP has just stepped up again here tonight and called out ‘The Nature Boy’ Ric Flair” – JBL
“JBL that little smile indicates to me though that maybe Ric Flair is looking forward to the challenge” – Michael Cole

Highlights of The Undertaker and John Cena’s bloodbath were shown on the screen in still shot fashion with match commentary over the top. They showed how once again John Cena brought the fight to The Undertaker and after exchanging the advantage in the match it seemed as Cena was on his way to beating The Undertaker after dropping him with his FU but Cena never went for the finish Cena went for a second FU but Undertaker managed to slip behind Cena and send him head first into the top of the ring post which busted Cena wide open! “Ladies and Gentlemen this Monday night on Raw we would hear WWE Cruiserweight Champion Rey Mysterio’s victory speech but up next for the first time since beating Triple H at WrestleMania we would hear from the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion ‘The Animal’ Batista” – Michael Cole
Ring Announcer Justin Roberts was standing mid ring and he asked everyone in attendance to stand and welcome the… NEW WWE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION… ‘THE ANIMAL’ BATISTA!!
Fans were on their feet waiting for the arrival of Batista and when Batista stepped out on to the stage with the WWE World Heavyweight Title over his right shoulder and the fans went crazy when they spotted making his way down the ramp. Batista who was dressed in tight dark navy jeans a thin grey v necked jumper and shades stopped half way down the ramp placed his Title in front of him on the floor and did his trademark ‘machine gun’ pose as fireworks went off behind Batista.

“Great ovation here tonight from the Smack Down faithful for the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion” – Michael Cole
Batista was holding the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in his left hand while holding the microphone to his mouth with his right hand…
“You have no idea how good this feels… to be standing here tonight as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion!”
Batista raised the WWE World Heavyweight Championship high above his head which brought more chants from the crowd…
“BATISTA… BATISTA… BATISTA…”
“It has been along hard journey, I have over come a lot to be standing here tonight as the Heavyweight Champion but it has all been worth it everything Triple H has put me through has all been worth it because tonight I am standing here as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion.”
“It feels good, real good.”
“Triple H back in October had Randy Orton eliminate the two of them from the World Title Tournament to make his journey to the Finals of the Tournament not knowing what Karma had planned for him! Triple H spoke about how it was his fate his destiny to cement his place in history as the greatest of all time at WrestleMania the biggest stage of them all but karma had other ideas… because what comes around goes around and at WrestleMania Triple H I did everything I said I was going to do you I hit you where it hurts you most, I ruined your plans and with the world watching I accomplished a dream by becoming the WWE World Heavyweight Champion!!”
“What are these two doing out here now??”
Brett and Brian, The Major Brothers were making their way down the ramp Brett was holding a microphone the fans were booing Brett and Brian. Batista looked a little confused and angry at being interrupted by The Major Brothers…
“Batista at WrestleMania we promised to steal the show and shock the world and if it wasn’t for Stone Cold Steve Austin we would have done!” – Brett Major
“AUSTIN… AUSTIN… AUSTIN!!”
Brett and Brian Major were now in the ring standing opposite Batista clearly not happy with the Austin chants Brett placed his hand on Batista’s shoulder only for Batista to quickly push Brett’s hand away which Brett wasn’t happy about…
“So Batista that means we are going to take this time… your time to shock the world and have everyone talking about us!”
Batista slapped Brett Major hard across the face so Brian Major ran at Batista but Batista dropped Brian with a clothesline, Batista grabbed Brian by the hair and tossed Brian high over the top rope. Batista turned back to Brian who was getting back to his feet Batista with his finger was motioning for Brian to turn around and when Brian did Batista planted Brian Major with a Spinebuster. Batista grabbed the top rope shook it violently as the fans were going mental…
“What the hell is he doing here?” – Michael Cole
Triple H was in the ring behind Batista with a sledgehammer in hand and HHH wasn’t going to wait for Batista to turn around HHH nailed Batista in the back with the sledgehammer dropping Batista to a knee. Triple H tossed the sledgehammer out of the ring while Batista was on his knees holding his lower back as Triple H leaned into Batista’s face and grabbed Batista’s cheeks with his hand before pulling Batista to his feet putting Batista’s head in between his legs hooking Batista’s arms but before HHH spiked Batista with his Pedigree, Triple H looked around the arena as the fans were on their feet booing Triple H but that never stopped Batista from spiking Batista with his Pedigree!!
Batista was out cold on his face on the mat as Triple H stood over Batista’s body; HHH pointed at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship which was lying on the mat before motioning that it was going back around his waist…
“Saturday Night’s Main Event these two men will meet again in a 15 foot high Steel Cage Match and hopefully these two men will settle their rivalry once and for all” – Michael Cole
“If Triple H hits his Pedigree at Saturday Night’s Main Event a move he was unable to hit at WrestleMania Triple H will be a two times WWE World Heavyweight Champion and later than he expected Triple H will cement himself in history as the greatest of all time.” – JBL
Smack Down went off the air with Triple H still standing tall in the middle of the ring while Batista was still on his face out cold the last image was off Triple H clinching his fists and pumping both arms in the air in celebration of laying out the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion Batista.
