funky new background for ICW. it's like Afflicition meets Autumn. Not sure how I feel about that. It'd be great if it weren't for the leaves.
The opening montage was great. It's things like that that seperate ICW from the rest of the fantasy booking pack, that set it a step above. You don't just use WWE stars and "omg, wwe close, we use the rawk, stone cawld, aitch aitch aitch as champ omg". You have a real angle, something that could very well happen, and a realistic explaination as to why all these WWE contracted employees, even the people that run the federation, are in ICW, and as to why there is no more WWE. Bravo.
the opening commentary was really dead on, spot on for Heyman and Styles. It really captured the essences of both personalities, the way they speak, their attitudes, everything. Another aspect of fantasy booking that far too many people take for granted that you've really got a grasp on.
The opening match was really good. Established Benjamin as more of a tag team wrestler in ICW, that if he so chose to, he could go with the singles guys. It's always a bit of a problem when tag team wrestlers work with mid card singles, and are quickly squashed because they "are tag team wrestlers". WWE is very guilty of this. I like that it was a good back and forth match and really established Benjamin. I also like the feud. I could totally see Cabana just hanging out in a Rey Mysterio mask.
Apparently, Shane knew where the door was. Albert did not have to show him to it.
Homicide-RVD was a very good match. I like that they didn't go overboard with the weapons, and really only used the chair. it makes it mean that much more when Homicide pulls the fork out and starts carving at him. Hardcore wrestling, but not just "you hit me with something, I hit you with something".
a little heat between the Hardys..
the McMahon in ring segment was pretty good. The Christian-RVD segment was short and to the point, really confirmed what everyone already figured, a match at D-Day.
Tracy Smothers! If I hear a "Where's My Pizza" or "Tracy Sucks" EVERYONE DIES! Ultra Mass Super Mega Homicide! Straight up!
I think the tag match should have gone a little bit longer, myself, especially considering how many wrestlers were involved in it. I figured MNM was going to win for sure, considering the HooliganZ & The Hardys were both not really coheriant with each other going into the match. It's good to see the Hardys pick up the win. Hopefully they can stick together long enough that they can possibly win the ICW Tag titles.
Nice run down of the D-Day card.
Burchill looking very strong against Noble.
Double swerve from Orton & Flair. I'm liking how the Corperation is forming up, especially with Daniels at the head of it. The main event was a good, crazy match.
All your storylines are flowing well, everything points to the PPV, which is great. I like how all the angles are more or less over viewed when a wrestler is around, not just assumed that everyone watching knows what's going on. It's the little things.
In other words, lol 10/10 gr8t sh0
