After the controversial ending to the CM Punk/Chris Jericho No.1 Contenders matchup, a 3 Way Dance for the ECW World Title has been signed with CM Punk vs Chavo Guerrero vs Chris Jericho!
Here is what these 3 have had to say regarding the match:
*CM Punk in a gym*
Punk: All my life I've followed 3 rules, no drugs, no alcohol and no tobacco. I pride myself on being straight edge, I pride myself on performing the best that my body will allow and come Tuesday night in Philadelphia MY ECW Title is coming back where it belongs. Chavo, you may come from the GREATEST wrestling family ever known, but remember I’ve beaten you before; you also have to realize that I’ve run the roads with Eddie. I’ve lived with him before, and I taught him something and he damn sure taught me something. We learned from each other, but it’s what he taught me that I will use to take you out! Which leaves me to Chris Jericho, You’ve done it all man, you’ve been in this business a long time Chris. You may have been the 1st undisputed champion, and you may have beaten The Rock and Stone Cold, but you haven’t beaten me. I’m CM Punk, I’m straight edge and I’m better than both of you! And on February 19th, I’ll be CM Punk, ECW Champion!
*Chavo Guerrero in his El Paso, Texas home with the ECW Title on his shoulder*
Chavo: I’ve been thinking ever since I won this title, do I have what it takes to be champion? I’ve never held a world title before. Sure I’ve beaten former champions, but I never had that career defining title win, until just about a month ago, January 22nd, I remember like it was yesterday, this belt means everything to me and I’m not going to let ANYONE take this from me. I am a 3rd generation superstar, I was born into greatness! The word Guerrero means WARRIOR, and that’s what we are, we are WRESTLING WARRIORS! I have proven time again that not only am I the greatest luchador but the greatest wrestler in the world! Come February 19th I prove once again that the name “Guerrero” is synonymous with champion.

Jericho: Most of the time you see me I have a smile on my face, lately it seems all I can think of is last Tuesday when I had CM Punk beat and thanks to an errant mistake from Regal I did not leave New York the Number 1 contender. Well Regal redeemed himself in my eyes by adding me to the ECW title match and here I stand right before you, no more lame jokes about the size of another man’s penis or how CM Punk may or not be the biggest ass clown I ever met, but that side of me has left. I realize that I have a golden opportunity at achieving the greatness I once had. I was gone for over 2 years from wrestling, but I didn’t forget. No I remember the day I became the Undisputed champion. The greatest day of my wrestling life, while I was gone and exploring other options, a question kept nagging at me like a virus, a question that I not only asked myself but people I know and people I didn’t know ask me, “What if?” What if you came back to the WWE? What if you had 1 more shot at the title, one more shot at greatness? It burned inside me like a tumor, I used to come into this very room here and escape the questions, but the thing is I didn’t need to escape, I didn’t need to hide; I realized that I needed to be in that ring. I was screwed on Raw by JBL and I decided that there is only place for me to go, the place where I 1st found prominence in the US, ECW. William Regal welcomed me with open arms and he gave me what I deserve, a shot at greatness. So on February 19th I will go in that ring and I will use all of my abilities that made me the very best for over 18 years and I will emerge the ECW Champion and once again regain my throne as King of the World.
That’s not all you can expect come February 19th, after what some call one of the greatest tag team match EVER, The Stampede Bulldogs will once again face the team of Spanky and Paul London. These 2 teams went to a 15 minute time limit draw last Tuesday, and the fans damn sure wanted to see a winner. So this Tuesday in Philadelphia we have made the match with no time limit! This will be only the Bulldogs 2nd match in ECW and they are already creating waves, they put out a challenge to ECW Tag Team Champions, The Miz and John Morrison, who were unable to comment on the challenge to being at a movie premiere. Also London and Spanky have wanted a rematch at tag team gold. London and Spanky are considered the greatest tag team in Smackdown history. This match will have major tag team title implications
We admit that the TV Title tournament has gotten off to a rough start and we will address it with William Regal and publicize the brackets. Word has it that some superstars you haven’t seen in a while will making a debut, more on that in the upcoming newswires
Speaking of debuts, FCW standout Matt Sydal will be making his ECW debut in Philadelphia, against “The Gold Standard” Shelton Benjamin, this should be an amazing athletic contest, and also making their debut will be Roderick Strong, from the Florida independent promotion FIP, and the Women’s title as Beth Phoenix faces Mickie James! Sara Del Rey will be in action as well
If you caught last weeks episode you saw that Jerry Lawler aided in a Regal Regime beatdown of Tommy Dreamer. These 2 will collide in Extreme Rules action on Tuesday night. These 2 have squared off before almost 11 years ago and it was 1 of the most gruesome displays ever seen. How will the Philadelphia crowd react to one of the most vocal anti-ECW crusaders out there? Tune in to find out!
