OK, so I see that my creative "potna in crime" is a bit tied up so far this week, so I'll step in & confirm the guidelines for the upcoming BOOK Awards.
Starting today, the Nomination Phase of the big show begins. To all the peeps in eyeshot of this message, feel free to go ahead & begin gathering your picks for your suggested nominations for the various Award categories. The categories, themselves, are as follows:
1. Show of the Year
2. Best Booker
3. Best Character
4. Best Feud
5. Match of the Year
6. Most Consistent Booker
7. Best Promo/Segment
8. Best Series
Feel free to list as many nominations as you wish for all of the categories listed above. Simply send your suggested nomination picks to either tenneseecav@yahoo.com or to thescorpionsden@yahoo.com. Your picks will need to be taken from material posted in the calendar year of 2008. The Nomination Phase is open for the NEXT 3 WEEKS, and will close on Wednesday, February 11th at midnight. The top 4 most suggested nominations in each category will become the official nominees for the Awards event.
On Friday, February 13th at 12 Noon ET, the official nominees will be announced for the 2009 Awards show. The Voting Phase will be officially open at that point. Everyone is then invited to vote for the winners in all of the categories. The Voting Phase will work much the same way -- simply email your winners for each category to either Tennessee or myself. Voting will close Wednesday, February 25th at Midnight, so be sure to be mindful of the deadlines. The official Award winners will be announced at the BOOK Awards show on Saturday, February 28th. A summarized calendar is below:
