WCW Souled Out 2000 Results 1/16/2000 from Cincinatti Ohio... (aka Worst PPV EVER)
Match 1) Triple Threat Theatre 1
Billy Kidman beat Dean Malenko in a "Catch As Catch Can" match after Malenko left the ring less than three minutes in. Match was suppose to be Chris Benoit vs Jeff Jarrett, but the card was shuffled when Benoit was shoved into the Main Event because of Bret "Hitman" Hart's injury. Dean Malenkos last night with the company.
Match 2) Vampiro beat Crowbar and David Flair in a Triangle Match by pinning Flair, after David was distracted by Daffney, who kept trying to get Davis' attention during the match. Huge clusterf*ck.
Match 3) Big Vito and Johnny the Bull w/ Disco Inferno defeated The Harris Boys when Vito pinned one of the twins with an Implant DDT. Snooze.
Match 4) Oklahoma w/ B.B.Q. Sauce defeated Madusa w/ Nitro Girl Spice to win the WCW Cruiserweight Title. You read that right, Oklahoma (a non wrestler) beat Madusa (an older female worker) for the WCW MENS CRUISERWEIGHT TITLE, At the time one of THE MOST RESPECTED belts in the INDUSTRY!!!
Match 5) "Nasty" Brian Knobbs defeated Fit Finlay, "The Monster" Meng, and "Screamin'" Norman Smiley to win the WCW Hardcore Title after slugging Smiley over the head with a Police Sheild.
5 Matches so far, not one good one...
Match 6) Triple Threat Theatre 2
Billy Kidman defeated Perry Saturn in a Bunkhouse match, which was okay, but again, was originally planned to be Chris Benoit vs Jeff Jarrett in a Bunkhouse match. Perry Saturns last night with the company.
Match 7) Stevie Ray defeated Booker T with a run in from Ahmed Johnson, who is now known as Big T.
Match 8) Tank Abbott defeated "Lightning Foot" Jerry Flynn in a shitty "shootfight".
Match 9) Buff Bagwell faught Diamond Dallas Page in a No Referee, No Rules, Last Man Standing silly fight gimmick, which was actually good until the screwey ending of having NO REFEREE to count the pin, Buff blocked a Diamond Cutter from DDP, and left the ring. Kimberly left with DDP but looked P.O'ed.
Match 10) Triple Threat Theatre 3
Cage Match!
The Wall defeated Billy Kidman in less than 5 minutes in a cage match, which again, was suppose to be Chris Benoit vs Jeff Jarrett.
Match 11) Kevin Nash defeated Terry Funk to win Commissionership of WCW in a brutal match that saw Nash powerbomb Funk through a table, and then again onto two steel chairs for the 1in!
Match 12) Chris Benoit (Subbing for an injured Bret Hart) defeated Sid Vicious to win the VACANT WCW Belt. Chris Benoit's last night with the company. The belt is declaired vacant (AGAIN!) since Benoit, the champion, left the company, not to mention, Sid Vicious tapped out to the Crippler Crossface while his leg was under the bottom rope.
Eddy Guerrero, Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko, and Perry Saturn are done with WCW (as you probably remember) and several other young talented guys aren't very happy with the direction of the company.
To Recap:
WCW World Title - Vacant
WCW U.S. Title - Vacant
WCW Tag Team Titles - David Flair & Crowbar
WCW Cruiserweight Title - Oklahoma
