Show: WCWA Synthetic episode 3
Reviewed by: Ant
Pretty decent battle royal to open up Synthetic. That hip toss from the top rope Dan Corbin took sounds brutal. Scotty Vortex winning is cool… I guess. I’ve never seen the guy before in my entire life but I guess that’s the beauty of WCWA – you get to ‘see’ wrestlers you’ve never heard of before in your life. I am a sucker for battle royals so I enjoyed it. By the way, Mickie Knuckles as the Conquistador makes me laugh.
A very colorful group promo for BLK Out. Collectively, they seem to have tremendous chemistry. Adding Jack Evans to the group makes it even better. I think my favorite member of BLK Out has to be Ruckus… he’s the one I have seen the most of besides Evans.
So Brian Damage utterly destroys Jimmy Jacobs… and Lacey. Brian Damage is such a damn power house, I really like the way you’re portraying him in WCWA. Not much to say about the match…
Mickie Knuckles with a bit of a scary promo on LuFisto…
Beef and Nate doing a little pre-match dancing. Well that was one crazy match. Most likely the most reversals, counters, misses, and two count falls I have ever read. Not my favorite match I read from you but it had me chuckling.
Pretty decent promo from LuFisto.
Well that Nakazawa guy sure loves baby oil. Rightfully so Beef Wellington wins with the I Can’t Believe It’s not Cutter. Nothing really spectacular, had it’s funny moments.
Nice Backseat Boys promo…
And Chuck Taylor wins the match thanks to BLK Out. Again, I was hoping for a longer match and something a bit more… better than the previous match. I was kind of disappointed that the match didn’t go longer.
Funny Beef promo.
As usual, the best match up of the night is the main event. I love how the end sets up for Hero vs. Kingston some time down the road. Should be pretty amazing. Best match of the night, really solid main event.
J,
I’ve been reading your stuff for close to 3 years now. I have to say that I see one big problem with WCWA’s direction at the moment. It seems every match is too… gimmicky. I like comedy matches but not in every single match. I think WCWA is much more better when it has a more serious tone to it.
