the second review on here for me, and it's as a thank you to Real Deal for doing XWF Raw. Any review given to one of my shows will be returned. It's what I do.
*Very cool use of the music for the opening video. I did one of those for my Royal Rumble preview when I was doing RATTWF way back when, and I like how it turned out. They can be hard, but also very rewarding.
*Very interesting choice for the announce team, and I guess I prefer Jarrett announcing, because I don't have to sit through his lame matches.
*I'd prefer to see the promos written out, but the summary format is nice, and does get the point across. I like the use of the "Fallen Angel" gimmick for Daniels, as it allows his natural charisma to show through.
*Good stuff between Daniels and Killings there. You're writing style reminds me a lot of Jimberg (older Afterlife guys will know who that is), and that's a good thing. Daniels picking up the win continues his push which I like, and going over clean isn't something you usually see for a heel.
*Thorn's gimmick is a blatant ECW rip, which is something I have a problem with. Add a new spin on the character, or if you are going to use it, give him Ariel. Ariel (Shelly) makes him worth watching.
*Figured Thorn would win, seeing he's in line for a push, but having Reso counter Thorn's finisher gives him a bit of a rub as well. Andrews basically jobbed out, which is fine with me. He's like the new 'Roid Boy.
*Very cool build there, as you got Thorn a opponent for next week, a potential title program, and build the possibility of a feud with Andrews as well. Kash and Corino could be really good tonight.
*Very cool choice for Team Canada, and nice mixing of wrestling history (well, modern history) with the teaming of Williams and Skipper. (FLIP!)...and Impact Players are one of my favorite tag teams ever. Nice touch.
*HOMICIDE, BITCHES! I so mark for the "Notorious 187". Good to see him coming to Fight Night.
*HAHAHA! Cornette puts the screws to Reso! Awesome. (chants) Joe's gonna kill you. [[JJ: Joe’s gonna kill Reso!]] I just said that! "Trailer Park Heroes"? Care to show me the show? Also, who would that team be? I'd assume Jamie Noble is one of them. Chris Hero the other?
*Pretty cool match, and I have to guess that makes Team Canada the number one contenders to the tag belts...held by Jamie Noble, and Chris Hero! BOO-YA! Good guess on my part. Interesting build, and I'm looking forward to seeing who the other teams are.
*That may be the dumbest reason for a feud since Booker and Edge fought over a shampoo commercial. Good feud, bad reason. (AJ and Jacobs)
*Why's Ki getting booed?...very realistic opening there, and I like how you incorporate the announcers into the flow of the match to help carry over...the end of the match helps build the feud between AJ and Jacobs, but I'd have Ki win clean, and then have Jacobs clean AJ's clock with the chair. But that's me.
*Looks like Heenan is going to be feuding with Punk and Shelley. CM and Alex do make for an interesting team, and something tells me they will be in the tag tournament. Pretty good match, and a very big win for Lethal, even if it wasn't cleanly.
*Looks like Heenan found someone else to help him. And Abyss single-handidly took out "Art of War" after the match.
*Interesting main event, and it does open a few possibilites. If you have Thorn take out Kash for the TV belt, he's got a pinfall win on the Heavyweight champion. We still have to see where the ski-masked people come in, and Corino takes his first loss as champion, so we get to see how he reacts to it. Good build
OVERALL: Pretty good, but not a total blowaway show. I like the writing style, and find it very easy to read which is a plus. I also like the way the main event, and TV title scenarios are going, so that's a plus as well. However, outside of that, everything basically stayed the same. Punk and Shelley with Heenan. Jacobs and AJ (costing us the end to what could have been an excellent AJ-Ki match). So, it's a good with the bad type thing there, but it was mostly good. So, we'll be generous and call this out of
