The Alliance angle has been running since March 2001. Heads at the WWF call for it to end at Survivor Series.. but why? Especially with some of the contracts on the horizon. What if the angle continued, perhaps forever? Until both sides have been exhausted?
Up to Survivor Series 2001, The Alliance had been dominated. Diamond Dallas Page had been made to look like a fool at the hands of the Undertaker. Steve Austin had been beating on Booker T on a weekly basis. Kronic came in for a cup of coffee and were an epic fail. Not to mention the fact that two of the biggest stars of ECW, Tommy Dreamer and Raven, were now nothing more than lower mid carders, at best. The Alliance had been squashed and perhaps it was time to pull the plug.. or perhaps there was still a shining light.. the one man that couldn't be buried.. Could Mr. 420 be the saving grace for WCW/ECW?

WWF Survivor Series 2001
11/18/01

The Survivor Series 2001 is not the end of the fued, rather the continuation of the feud. The next night on Raw, McMahon is gloating that the WCW has no stars that the WWF cannot destroy.. And Ric Flair debuts. Flair joins the WCW/ECW stable and the line of heel/face is blurred, with Vince McMahon as an evil leader, leading a side of faces, against Flair as a babyface leader, leading a stable of heels.
End of November changes:
Team WWF loses:
Al Snow
Bull Buchanan
Godfather
Haku
All are sent to OVW, for star power down south.
Team WWF gains:
Spanky
Bryan Danielson
Stone Cold Steve Austin
Both are brought up from OVW, gaining momentum as babyface youngsters. Austin switches sides at Survivor Series
Team WCW loses:
Chuck Palumbo
Hugh Morris
Justin Credible
Stone Cold Steve Austin
All sans Austin go to OVW, Austin goes to Team WWF
Team WCW gains:
Ric Flair
Other stories:
WWF Hardcore, European, and Light Heavyweight titles are all officially retired.
