New Owner of the World Wrestling Federation, Shane McMahon, , addressed the audience and sanctioned 4 Major Championship matches for the next WWF Pay-Per-View, Steel City Showdown. #1 Contenders were crowned, new wrestlers debuted, and some old faces resurfaced in East Rutherford, New Jersey on Monday!
This week on Smackdown, LIVE from the Manhattan Center in New York City (Smackdown will take place there each and every week, LIVE) Bret 'The Hitman' Hart will officially address the audience about his controversial return to the World Wrestling Federation and what exactly his plans are. Will he have anything to say about Shawn Michaels and the pending contract for 'The Biggest Re-match of All Time" at this year's Survivor Series? We may just find out on SMACKDOWN!
Also, confirmed matches include 'The Nature Boy' Ric Flair will go one on one with William Regal in what is sure to be an old school, physical affair! Ric Flair has already declared a spot in the 15-man Battle Royal at Steel City Showdown with the winner facing World Heavyweight Champion, The Undertaker, in the Main Event later on in the night! Flair must not look past the great William Regal however and get caught off guard!
One half of the World Tag Team Champions, Edge, has a special surprise for the RETURNING DUDLEY BOYS, who will challenge Rated RKO for the belts at Steel City Showdown. What will Edge do? Tune in to find out!
Goldberg will be in action against Mr. Kennedy on Smackdown and we have learned that there will be exclusive footage of what happened backstage between Goldberg and Triple H after RAW went off the air!
