Harry here...time for the review I promised Tenn, since he took the time to review XWF's WrestleMania. Any review for the XWF will be returned.
*Third SMW show. Read both of the others, so I am completely up to date on storylines, and such.
*Bah. Hardcore to start. Not really a fan of his, and the angle you have with him and Kash reminds me of RVD-Undertaker from late 2001. Holly's no 'Taker. That said, I do find it funny that some-one from Alabama is calling people from Tennessee inbred...
*I like Gangrel more then I like Holly, but that's not saying much...pretty good match. I like your writing style, and wish I could do it myself. That said, Gangrel got in a decent amount of offence against Holly who you're trying to push as one of your top heels.
*And now we're joined by the person in charge. Cornette...we spoke about Savage leaving, so it doesn't surprise me. I was liking Gorgeous George in SMW though, so I'll miss her...I am liking Stevie C as a face in your fed, though I enjoy Corino more as a heel (as he is in XWF)...JOB SQUAD IN DA HOUSE!...yes Credible. You did job to Corino. No-one jobs to Corino, and yet you found a way. (I'd recommend that match guys. It was very well written)...you have ECW-esque Credible down to an art. And it's nice to see some-one pushing him, as I always found him to be entertaining. (Except in X-Factor, but that was more my hate for X-Pac then anything else there)
*Nice recap of Credible-Corino from the week before. It's place in the format is nice as well, as we just had Credible talking about it, and now we see what happened.
*Well, that match wasn't booked...I guess Bossman using Batista to prove a point to Bigelow makes for a strong statement. If I was Cornette, I ban Batista from ringside for that match, but that's me...
*La Parka and Lita make for a cool team. Same style of wrestling, and I think Parka's the only guy in wrestling Lita hasn't let lay the wood to her!
*It's nice to see that some-one doesn't think tag wrestling is dead. Very well written match there between the Bulldogs and E&C. Early BOOK/Afterlife MOTYC, IMO.
*Personally, I felt that LeRoux-Goldust was a farce. While Lash's series with Double M Michael Modest leading to 'Mania and into it was nice, I don't think he's on Goldie's level as a competitor.
*Very intriguing pair of Simon Diamond and Sean O'Haire. I openly admit to being an O'Haire fan...and with a manager like Teddy, I expect big things from those two in SMW.
*Pretty bland match with Bigelow and Bossman. The DQ ending will continue the feud, and seriously here, WTF with the ending. I haven't seen a taser used since Goldberg shocked Scott Hall sober in WCW!
*Doesn't Henry's remarks there sort of make him a heel to the SMW fanbase? And the better question, why are you still using that talentless oaf?
*Eddie-Val was very well written on SMW's debut. The ending sequence (detailed here) was fantastic.
*Quick set-up there for Storm-Kash. Would've done more build to a match like that, but I do like the shot you took at Stenn. It was funny.
*Nice quick paced match between the two, and the ending sequence was beautiful, with the counter straight into the MONKEY-MAKER~!! () PS: That ending is ripped from a TNA match between Mamaluke and Kash, btw.
*Obviously, that's why Storm was rushed. Holly's the main feud with Kash right now...
*AWESOME! Can't wait to see you write for Nova!
*Very good written main event. I liked the tag match better in terms of the action, but the way you set the title picture there builds to the future, and that's something that I can really appreciate, as it's the progressive booking that CWF has come to be known for. It's nice to see it rub off for your SMW.
OVERALL: Probably the show of 2006 so far, but that's also because we haven't seen many shows due to BOOK being a bitch. Both the tag match, and the main are MOTYC, though I think that the tag match was better. Love how you work the styles together. Good stuff man. 5 's out of 5 's
