First off, I should note I'm not a huge fan of the format of your shows. It's basically a few sentences of match descriptions, mingled in with big gobs of talking. Strikes me as all sizzle with no steak. I'd prefer more involved matches.
Considering that this format makes it near impossible to review a show seg by seg, I'm just going to fire out random thoughts as I read. Let's begin.
-What's a Chamber match? Elimination Chamber?
-I find it weird to see a character referred to as "me" and "my." Makes it all seem like heb's own weird little fantasy... which, I mean, technically it IS but it still strikes me as odd.
-Sable and Brock? Interesting... Want to see where this leads.
-Is Mikey Mikey Whipwreck? Either way nice zinger with Chyna.
-I think Maria might kill herself AND her opponent if she actually tried a top-rope Pepsi Plunge.
-Am I the only one who found Daffney hot when she was in WCW?
-Uh oh, a wedding at the pay-per-view. Weddings never go well at wrestling shows. HAVE YE LEARNED NOTHING, HEB?!? Hehe.
-I wouldn't know Arcale if he walked up to me wearing a nametag and a shirt with his picture on itt and kicked me in the face. Nice promo, though.
-Jericho in the fed as well. Very intriguing.
-You know, for a show that's supposed to be what I presume is the flagship pay-per-view, there sure are a lot of debuts happening. Usually, a WrestleMania type show is where lots of the current angles come to a close, this feels more like a Raw where storylines start.
-Good promo from Daniels.
-Jamie Noble's gone and he's replaced by... Eric Angle? Meh.
-Naked lesbian chicks in a wrestling ring. For some reason that doesn't sound as enticing as it should. Call me crazy but rather than watch a porno-esque wrestling angle, I'd rather watch... actual porn. Maybe it's me.
-Great stuff with Colt Cabana, but what the heck wwas up with the little marriage proposal?
-You'd think for a WrestleMania we'd hear from the competitors in the main event before their match. Weirdness.
FINAL THOUGHTS
OK... I can respect the effort put forth here and I know Heb works hard on his stuff, but truth be told, there was a lot in this show that I did not like. And I think that's because I don't like it when they try to do this sort of thing on actual wrestling. Your storylines are REALLY soap-opera-y. I think such stuff is fine in small doses. But it seems like you have 2 or 3 or 4 of those angles going on at once, and it's overkill. If it were me, I would take the one soapy angle I liked the BEST, and really amp that up.
Since the matches were impossible to review due to length, my favorite parts of the show were the promos by Daniels, Arcale and Cabana. More than anything, it's because they projected actual, unique characters. I'd advise working on doing the same with as many folks on your roster as possible. Right now, that strikes me as a big problem. A lot of the dialogue, particularly the stuff in the commissioner's office and almost everything the women say, comes across as the same person speaking, only different words. There's no variety or spice or oomph to anything they're saying. It seems like the written equivalent of watching a TV show where people deliver their lines woodenly.
I believe the best way to make a series shine or stand out is to establish as many unique characters as possible. There's a reason why Den won so many awards, and it wasn't because he wrote 97 five-star matches, it was because he gave every guy his own unique, individual voice.
Also, it was odd to see SO many backstage segs during a pay-per-view, especially a WrestleMania.
Other than that, intriguing stuff set up for the future, particularly with the arrivals of Lesnar and Jericho.
